What Causes Smelly Fragrant Flowers and Colour?

Surprisingly, about a plant often notice and admire the "flowers" when we actually do not notice the flowers at all! If we think of flowers as something that has a bright color that grows on a tree, we may be wrong.

For instance, "the leaves of the flowers" bloom "dogwood growing in the spring flowers are not leaves at all. Likewise the leaf midrib, which is white on the plants 'caklas' is not a flower. Poinsetia flower collection is another example of leaf- yabng colored leaves and flowers instead of real yangs.
Instead, files are bearded at the ends of the grass is actually a flower! Ears of corn are not actually cook the flowers. According to the botanist, flowers are a bunch of parts whose function is to produce pollen or seeds or both. Only plants that produce seeds that have a flower. And only parts of a plant closely related to the formation and production biki which can be regarded as parts of the flower.

What causes the flowers smell nice? Flower has a fragrance when the leaves of the flowers contain certain pure essential oils. These oils produced by plants as part of its growth process. These pure oils are substances that are very complex. In certain circumstances these complex substances that were damaged or decayed and formed into mintak volatile, which means mintak it can evaporate more easily. If this happens, we can smell the fragrance of flowers.

Special type of fragrance depends on the interest generated by the chemicals contained in the volatile oil and a combination of different also. The same oil is not only in the flowers of plants tetapis often also present in the leaves, bark, roots, and seeds. For example, oranges and lemons have a volatile oil in the fruit, almonds in the seed, cinnamon in the bark, and so on.

What causes colored flowers? "Anthocyanins" is the name for the pigments that give color to red, mauve, purple, and violet. Pigments are dissolved in the sap of cells of interest. Other colors like yellow, orange, and green, are the result of other pigments. These substances include chlorophyll, carotene, and so on. There is no chemical relationship between these compounds.

So we can connect the colors in the flowers with pigments called "anthocyanins" and with other pigments called "plastids." Anthocyanins groups provide a range of certain colors and the colors of plastids provide the rest.
