Lucknow - Authorities in India finally releasing a prisoner because of his age who has reached 108.
Brij Bihari Pandey, at the age of 84 years imprisonment for committing murder, he became the oldest prisoner in India.
Pandey, who is also a Hindu priest, was freed by the courts of Uttar Pradesh for humanitarian reasons. The guards at the prison have difficulty in meeting the needs of the oldest man in the history of prisons in India.
"It's very difficult for us to take care of prisoners aged 108. We have proposed a letter for his release and the court agreed," said Head Prison Warden SK Gorakhpur Sharma, as reported by AFP on Tuesday (06/21/2011).
Pandey Sharma said that the exemption for humanitarian reasons.
At the age of 85 years, Pandey along with nephews and other family members killed four people related to religious issues.
In 2009 he was sentenced, but the old man always spends his time in hospital and in bed because of his physical weakness.
Pandey also feel happy for his release by giving a smile and embraced his cell mates
